Jenna & Jordan are the nicest, most down-to-earth couple and shooting their wedding was a dream come true. I felt right at home with their family and friends—everyone was so happy to be there and the vibe was fun and energetic all day long. J & J decided to do their first look, family and bridal portraits before the ceremony, which meant they could join in cocktail hour afterwards and spend lots of quality time with their guests. This worked out perfectly, and the cocktail hour was so fun as a result.
I love shooting weddings at Bird’s Eye Cove Farm. It’s funny, because both times I have worked there, it has rained pretty hard, resulting in the ceremony being moved inside last minute. Luckily the venue is just as gorgeous inside as it is outside, so no problems there! Shoutout to Tammy from Blue Lily Events for being so calm and organized and making what could be a hectic situation into a breeze.
Fun fact: This was my first wedding where the guests applauded as the bride came down the aisle, and it was so fun and adorable, I almost died.
Fun fact #2 : The photo of the wedding party standing against the barn windows was a finalist at the Vancouver Island Wedding Awards, it was an honour to be recognized amongst all of the talent we have on the island.
Thanks to J+J and their fantastic family and friends for such an amazing day!
