Remember that heat wave we had back in August? When the stores were sold out of air conditioners and we all sat sweltering in pools of our own sweat for days straight?
I remember gearing myself up for this wedding, making sure I had ample water, lathering on the sun screen, and wearing the most breezy outfit I could find. I was worried about overheating, and looking like a hot sweaty mess… but you know what? All of those worries melted away (😉) as soon as I turned on my camera and captured the first image of the day. I was totally immersed in the magical and unique celebration that was Emily and Indigo’s wedding.
I had been so excited to capture this wedding ever since Emily contacted me back in 2019. Unfortunately, the original 2020 date was postponed due to COVID, but as you will see from the images below, some things are just worth the wait.
This day was so unique to the bride and groom, and so much thought and care went into every detail. A stunning waterfront ceremony, personal vows, ice cream and taco trucks… not to mention the most rad and beautiful couple ever. It truly was the best day.
And, when it was time to wrap up and I snapped out of my photographer trance, I realized that yes, I was quite hot and sticky, and immediately went and jumped in the Gorge. It was the perfect way to end the perfect day!
